Welcome to the Norwich Amateur Brewers These Ales of Wonder 2024, organised by Norwich Amateur Brewers, celebrating the beers of Britain and Ireland. Once again we are grateful for the strong support of our main sponsors The Malt Miller and Ampersand Brew Co.
You can use this site to register for the competition, pay your entry fees and submit details of your beers. Once registered you can log in anytime to enter additional brews, or edit details of those you've already entered up until the cut-off times/dates
The Norwich Amateur Brewers These Ales of Wonder Competition is sanctioned by the Beer Judge Certification Programme (BJCP). All entered home brewed beers will be assessed by qualified BJCP judges against current published style guidelines.
Score sheets and written feedback will be provided for each entry. Rosettes, certificates and prizes will be awarded in each category group and for Best of Show winning beers.
Once the judging process is complete and winners have been announced, entries will be made available for sampling and discussion for everyone attending the event, providing a unique opportunity to appraise a wide range of home brewed Belgian beer styles.
This year's competition event is being hosted by our friends at Ampersand Brewery, Diss, Norfolk (3 minutes from Diss Railway Station).
Style Guidelines and Eligibility
Beers will be assessed against BJCP Style Guidelines 2021 available here: https://www.bjcp.org/bjcp-style-guidelines/
Eligibility: This competition is open to all home brewers, worldwide. Competition organisers, staff, judges and stewards may enter the competition. Control measures and processes are in place to ensure fair and anonymous judging. Judges and stewards will not be assigned to categories which they have entered.
